Pieces, Petals, Leaves and Eaves is a digitally pieced collection of wholecloth quilts designed from photographs of flowers and vernacular architecture. They reference quilt and Islamic tiling traditions. Downtown Harrisburg has fragments of over twenty-five buildings from two neighborhoods juxtaposed into a plausible landscape that retains the feel of the downtown communities. A fading blue background layer in the middle transitions to a tile sky. The tiles are embedded with flowers and architectural fragments. $3000 45h x 36w
